Police release photo of Dunkin' Donuts robber

VINELAND - An armed man robbed the Dunkin' Donuts at Oak and Main roads Tuesday evening and fled on foot.

Vineland Police investigated a  holdup at Dunkin Donuts at Oak and Main Roads Tuesday evening.

It was the second robbery of a small business in the city within 10 hours.

About 7:30 p.m., police swarmed the parking lot of the Dunkin' Donuts  where a masked man reportedly pulled a box-cutter knife on the two clerks in the store and ran out with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was physically injured, police said, but the staff members were visibly shaken up by the encounter.

The robber, who entered the store in a face mask, was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and work boots. He was described as a tall light-skinned male, according to investigators.

A  police K-9 team responded to the scene and tracked the robber down a westbound section of Oak Road. The man had reportedly been sitting on a curb in the store's parking lot for about an hour prior to the robbery, detectives said.

Earlier in the day, a man armed with a handgun robbed the Landis Food Market in the 500 block of East Landis Avenue. The perpetrator of that holdup fled on foot, but his picture was captured on the store's surveillance system. Police have released photos of his distinct hand tattoo hoping that someone will recognize him and contact investigators.
