A caller told police two men were smoking marijuana in a black Dodge van in Briar Mills development, a call that led to the discovery of more than 500 doses of heroin, THC oil and marijuana, police said.

This file photo shows 3 bricks of heroin. A Parsippany resident was one of five men charged with being part of a heroin distribution ring.

Arrested on a slew of drug offenses were the driver of the van, Leon Sarvis, 27, of Eatontown, and Ronald Walker 32, of Lakewood.

The call came in 1:30 p.m. May 18. Two officers went to the scene and saw the van run a stop sign.

After smelling a marijuana in the Dodge, the officers found 571 decks of heroin in a cardboard box hidden in Walker's pants, crack cocaine and $2,000 in cash in Walker's pants pocket.
