TRENTON - Fourth-graders from St. Mary School in East Vineland visited the New Jersey Statehouse in Trenton on April 12.

While there, they admired the golden dome while standing on the rotunda floor, sat in on a budget hearing and spoke with Sen. Jeff Van Drew, D-1.

They enjoyed the history and beautiful architecture of the many rooms they visited. The students brought letters to the Statehouse asking Gov. Chris Christie to increase funding for the transportation system. They even caught a glimpse of the governor as he was walking into the Statehouse that afternoon.
