Vineland Charter School gets OK for pre-schoolers

That follows last month’s go-ahead from the Vineland Planning Board for the school’s planned construction on Pennsylvania Avenue. The board at its April 21 meeting unanimously approved Highmark School Development’s site plan.

VINELAND - The state has given approval to Vineland Public Charter School to expand its enrollment to include pre-school classes for the 2016-17 school year, according to school officials.

The school has a projected enrollment of 452 students in pre-school to ninth grade for the 2016-17 school year, according to officials.

“Once again, we are pleased to receive the approvals needed to expand the availability of charter school education for the children of Vineland,” Ann F. Garcia, VPCS executive director, said. “In addition to providing the city’s first ever charter high school program, we will also be welcoming pre-schoolers to the VPCS family. We couldn’t be more excited.”
