Arrest made in Millville hit-and-run accident

MILLVILLE – A 69-year-old bicyclist is in Atlantic City Medical Center with serious injuries from a hit-and-run accident Sunday afternoon at East Broad Street and Hance Bridge Road, and police have the suspected driver in custody.

On Monday, police said Samuel File Sr., 39, of West Broad Street was arrested at East Broad Street and Wade Boulevard. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Police did not release the name of the victim. They are looking for anyone who knows the victim or knows where he lives.

Officials: Cause of tavern fire still unknown

File is charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury. He also is charged with assault by auto, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident.

The accident occurred about 2 p.m.
