“In Between Times” by Steve Lewis

Steve Lewis, who was born and raised in Dividing Creek and now resides in Leipzig, Germany, was back in South Jersey sketching and making notes for new paintings to be produced in his studio. Lewis moved to Leipzig in 1994 after graduating from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. He was under the tutelage of Judy Scull at Bridgeton High School until he graduated in 1990, and studied oil painting with Elsie Donaghay in Cedarville as a child. Both artists played an integral role in his development as an artist. Lewis visited with them during his trip through Cumberland County and spoke about his new work being shown through Leipzig since April. Works by Lewis, including "In Between Times," an oil on canvas, are featured in a solo exhibit, "Meta-Triptychs," at Barfussgaesschen 12 in Leipzig, Germany.
