Fundraiser set to benefit Dennis Tanner Scholarship

BUENA VISTA - The Dennis Tanner Scholarship Foundation will hold a fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Luna’s Outdoor Bar and Grill at Merighi’s Savoy Inn, 4940 W. Landis Ave., East Vineland.

The event will feature a menu of cold hors d’oeuvres. There also will be a raffles including a 50/50, door prizes and a DJ.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased from Jennifer Henderson or Linda Morris in the Vineland High School North main office.  Tickets are also available at the door.

Proceeds will benefit the Dennis Tanner Scholarship Fund, named after the former VHS assistant principal. Tanner died while saving a Vineland High School student from drowning in a riptide when he was chaperoning students on a school trip to Puerto Rico in 1980.
