Firefighters knocked the fire down and entered the residence through a rear wooden door that the Tower 6 crew forced in to search for victims.

The residence was vacant, according to fire reports.

The home sustained heavy damage to the back of the building. Windows on the second floor were removed for ventilation.  Part of the roof was removed to vent the attic, firefighters said.
