Vineland police calls for July 29

Jorge I. Aquino-Mendez, 26, of the 100 block of Harding Highway in Landisville, was arrested Tuesday night in the 300 block of North East Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated. A breath test measured his blood alcohol content at .21 percent, according to police reports.

  • Efrain Dejesus, Jr., 33, of the 100 block of West Cherry Street, was arrested July 13 on a Buena Vista Township Municipal Court warrant. He was released after posting $150 bail.

  • Joshua W. Roque, 33, of the 300 block of West Sherman Avenue, was arrested July 20 at Sherman Avenue and Brunetta Drive and charged with driving while intoxicated. A breath test measured his blood alcohol content at .31 percent, according to police reports.
  • Gil Druz Santiago, 33, of Millville, was cited for no driver’s license, a stop sign violation, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after a collision 7:03 p.m. July 21 at East Avenue and Walnut Road.
  • Police are looking for the driver of a gold SUV that knocked down a stop sign and ran up on a front lawn at East Avenue and Rainbow Lane on July 23.

In other news: 5 facing trial in Vineland liquor store robbery

  • A hit-and-run driver also knocked down a school crossing sign in the area of Brewster Road and School Lane on Sunday.
  • A Vineland woman told police a driver rear-ended her vehicle three times while she was stopped on Lincoln Avenue, near Sherman Avenue, about 4 p.m. Monday. The other driver got out his vehicle, said he was OK and returned to his car fleeing west on Sherman Avenue, the woman told police.
  • Raul Garcia, 33, of Millville, was cited for careless driving and no driver’s license after a rear-end collision 5:52 a.m. Tuesday on Delsea Drive at Wheat Road. Garcia, through an interpreter, told police his brakes did not work. Police checked and noted the brakes appeared to be OK.
  • A hit-and-run driver damaged two mailboxes Tuesday in the 5400 block of Independence Road.
  • Police are looking for the driver of a tractor-trailer that struck and knocked down the light standard at Delsea Drive and Garden Road Tuesday afternoon.
  • Eric Fantauzzi, 38, of Florence Avenue, was issued a careless driving summons after a three-vehicle collision 12:36 p.m. July 14 at East and Landis avenues. Fantauzzi told police he took his eyes off the road to look at his child and estimated his speed at less than 5 mph.
  • Both drivers were ticketed after a collision July 14 at Park Avenue and Third Street. Tommy Williams, 26, of South East Avenue, was issued a summons for tailgating. The other driver, Honesty Tomaziefski, 37, of Millville, was cited for unregistered vehicle.
  • Phillip Ruff, 60, of Carlisle Drive, was cited for driving under the influence, reckless driving, open container in motor vehicle and possession of CDS in his motor vehicle. Police were dispatched to the Liquor Mart in the 500 block of South Delsea Drive on July 14 for an unconscious man slumped over into the passenger seat with his keys in the ignition. It appeared he lost consciousness and his vehicle struck the handicapped parking sign. Officers field tested a powdery substance found in the glove compartment when they were trying to locate his registration and insurance. It tested positive heroin/opioid.
  • Viktoriya Kovalyuk, 18, of Hadsell Avenue, was cited for failure to maintain lane and violating conditions of a probationary driver’s license (hours of operation) after a collision 11:30 p.m. July 19 at Lincoln and Landis avenues.
