Vineland police for Oct. 23, 2016

  • Hiram Mendez, 51, of the 600 block of East Quince Street, was arrested at 11 a.m. Oct. 16 and charged with possession of Xanax, tampering with evidence and obstruction of administration of law. Mendez was taken to Cumberland County Jail on a Superior Court warrant with no bail.
  • Janet Guadalupe, 47, of the 200 block of North East Avenue, was arrested at 6:09 p.m. Oct. 20 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  
  • Richard Cruzata, 29, of the 400 block of West Cherry Street, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. Oct. 21 and charged with simple assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession weapon for unlawful purpose. Cruzata was taken to county jail.
  • Avery D. Mears, 22, of the 1600 block West Walnut Road, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Oct. 21 on a Franklin Township court warrant.
  • Manuel A. Contreras, 26, of the 300 block of West Elmer Street, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Oct. 21 on a Millville Municipal Court warrant. Contreras was taken to county jail.
  • Shameal G. Taylor, 25, of the 1000 block of Gheysen Avenue, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. Oct. 21 and charged with hindering apprehension by providing a false name, contempt and arrest for other jurisdiction on a Buena Vista Township warrant. Taylor was taken to county jail.
  • Nina Singleton, 22, of the 600 block of Cypress Drive; and Tivea M. Jefferson, 21, of the 300 block of Mt. Vernon Street, were arrested at Forman Mills at 2:04 p.m. Oct. 22 and charged with shoplifting.
  • Richard A. Logan, 27, of Bridgeton, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. Oct. 22 and charged with disorderly conduct.
  • Dominick Fattore, 31, of Williamstown, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Oct. 22 and charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and shoplifting. Fattore was taken to county jail on $5,500 bail.
  • Donald F. McFarland, 48, of Pittsgrove Township, was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Oct. 22 and charged with shoplifting and contempt. McFarland was taken to county jail.
