VINELAND - Holy Shoplifting! A man in a Batman hat and jacket snatched a tool set from Advance Auto Parts Tuesday afternoon and took off toward Wood Street.

Police didn’t discover any disabled Batmobile but they did locate Nathaniel Burgos, 28, of the 700 block of South State Street.

Burgos was charged with shoplifting.

An employee of the store in the 300 block for West Landis Avenue told police that Burgos walked into the store and headed directly to the tool aisle.

He put a tool set, valued at $59.99, in his backpack and walked out, the staffer told police.

Officers found Burgos a short time later in the area of Fourth and Pear streets, where he was identified by store staff as the shoplifter.

Before he was taken to the station, Burgos told the officers where he ditched the tool set, according to police. Officers found it in a green trash bin behind the auto parts store.

The tool set was returned to Advance Auto Parts.
