Campbell, who initially was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Service on an unrelated warrant, was charged with the September robbery of the Dollar Plus Convenience Store in the 900 block of East Chestnut Avenue.

He also was charged with the robbery Sunday at the Hampton Inn and Suites on West Landis Avenue, near Route 55.

In both instances, police said Campbell brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.  Neither clerk was injured during the robberies.

Campbell is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on a $500,000 cash bail.

Police who are investigating several other robberies that have occurred in the Vineland area said they are confident that additional charges will be forthcoming.

The weapon believed to have been used in the robberies has been recovered, according to detectives.

The arrest came after a multi-jurisdictional investigation into several armed robberies that have occurred throughout Cumberland County area.
