Vineland police calls for Feb. 21

• Sondra Horton, 33, of the 500 block of East Landis Avenue, was arrested Monday and charged with simple assault.
• Devon Downing, 23, of the 600 block of Cedar Street in Millville, was charged with simple assault after an incident Feb. 13 in the 700 block of South Sixth Street and held in Cumberland County Jail.
• Barbara A. Brown, 59, of the 2100 block of Mays Landing Road, was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of narcotics paraphernalia, specifically a marijuana grinder.
• Adrin C. Russell, 45, of Centerton Road of Elmer, was arrested this week in the 1900 block of North East Avenue on warrants issued by Mount Laurel Municipal Court and Cumberland County Superior Court and held in Cumberland County Jail.
• Branden L. Vargas, 24, of the 800 block of East Walnut Road, was arrested Monday in the 3800 block of South Delsea Drive on warrants issued by Upper Deerfield and Egg Harbor Township municipal courts.
• Jose Lopez-Ruiz, 39, of the 600 block of East Cherry Street, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated after a collision at Main and Wheat roads. He was issued summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, being an unlicensed driver, and possessing an open alcoholic container in a vehicle. When he was arrested, Ruiz told police he didn’t recall being involved a collision. At police headquarters, a breath test measured his blood alcohol content three times over the legal limit, according to police.
• John Mayville, 25, of the 600 block of West Walnut Road, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Saturday after a single-vehicle crash into a utility pole at Walnut Road and South West Avenue. He was ticketed for reckless driving, failure to wear a seat belt, and operating an uninsured vehicle.
• Anthony Sanchez, 35, of Mays Landing, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated after police conducted a traffic stop after seeing him using a cellphone while driving.  He was issued summonses for the reckless driving and use of a cellphone while driving.
