Vineland police for Feb. 26

  • Sharay Palmer, 20, of West Almond Street, was arrested at 12:11 p.m. Feb. 21 on an outstanding court warrant. Palmer was taken to Cumberland County Jail on no bail.
  • Maria Mendez, 51, of East Elmer Street, was arrested at 5:15 a.m. Feb. 22 and charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, intent to distribute within school zone, intent to distribute within 500 feet of public building and possession of methadone. Mendez was released on a summons.
  • Gabriel Antongiorgi-Mendez, 43, of East Elmer Street, was arrested on Feb. 22 on an outstanding court warrant out of Woolwich.
  • Omar Antongiorgi-Mendez, 35, of East Elmer Street, was arrested on Feb. 22 on an outstanding court warrant out of Trenton City.
  • A 17-year-old South Maple Drive resident was arrested Feb. 24 at Vineland High School south building and charged with assault. The student was arrested when found to be in possession of marijuana on school property. The juvenile was processed and released to their parent pending court action. 

Millville woman ID'd as jail suicide victim

  • Someone broke into a motor vehicle on the first block of Columbia Avenue on Feb. 23 and stole cash.
  • A motor vehicle was burglarized Feb. 23 on the 1000 block of Hamilton Drive. Jewelry and change were taken.
  • James J. August, 45, of Cedarville, was arrested Feb. 22 and charged with shoplifting and having three outstanding court warrants. August was taken to county jail.
  • Ashley M. Rosario, 29, of Berlin, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Feb. 23 on three outstanding court warrants out of Camden City.
  • Luis Cancino-Oduardo, 27, of the 700 block of East Garden Road, was arrested Feb. 24 and charged with simple assault.
  • Someone stole a suitcase from a residence on the 2000 block of Venezia Avenue on Feb. 24. The brown Tommy Bahama suitcase contained clothing, jewelry and personal items.
  • Carlos Sosa, 50, of the 400 block of South Sixth Street, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 24 and charged with shoplifting and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
  • A South Main Road resident reported on Feb. 19 that someone had used his Ocean First Bank debit card to purchase $158 worth of merchandise.
